Well it all started back in 1973.  My family was living inGuantanamo Bay, Cuba and my Dad made a trip to Jacksonville, Fl.  He was either going to buy me a Honda Z50 Trail or a go-cart with a Gremlin body.  He went for the Z50 and that is where I caught the bug.  I was able to ride this bike for a while until I was caught jumping a makeshift ramp over a big rock.  They told me to quit or the bike would be gone, but I wanted to be a motocross rider and, well, needless to say, the bike ended up gone.  We moved across the bay and fortunately my best friend had an older Z50 that his Dad let him sell to mine and I had this bike until we transferred in 1976..

Five loooong years pass before I got another one.  It was a Kawasaki 100 street bike.  I don't remember the exact year or model.  I didn't have it that long.  I don't even remember why it was gotten rid of.  Then in 1983, for my 16th Birthday, my Dad asked me if I wanted a car or a motorcycle for a gift.  With my Birthday being in April, and the bug in my heart, the only obvious choice was a motorcycle.  I ended up with a Kawasaki 305 CSR.

Froze my butt off in the Kentucky winter but I was not about to ride the bus to school.  We put a fairing on it and I rode this bike until 1988 (?) while I was stationed at Whidbey Island, Wa.

Yet ANOTHER loooong period of time (10 years) went by before I was able to quench the riding bug.  Every time Teresa (my wife) would ask what I wanted for Birthdays, Christmases, and any other occasion that involved gifts my only response was, "A motorcycle."  Finally I had bugged her enough she had finally given in and I purchased a 1998 Honda Shadow 750 A.C.E. Deluxe to get my riding legs back under me.

I rode this bike until I traded it for the bike I currently have, a 2004 Yamaha RoadStar Silverado..
