BIKE OF THE MONTH

The SCRC Lizard of Lost Mountain

I was born in Atlanta at Crawford Long Hospital on June 11, 1952. I grew up in Mableton and Smyrna and graduated from South Cobb High School in 1971. My first bike was a Honda 125. I received it as a Birthday present from my Father at the ripe old age of 15. It started out being a street bike, but as most of you all know me, I decided to climb some hills with it. The next bike I had was a 68 Triumph, that a buddy of mine chopped for me. Road this for years.

Then I got Married, the old bad word, and settled down to raise my two sons. And as life goes on, got divorced and then found the Love of my life!

I have 5 grandkids now and all of them are little shits and if they come over after about 3 hours I want to wet their lips and stick them to the wall.(Only Kidding) I have some great grandkids. I also have my favorite buddies Bowser and Zoee.

After years of craving another bike, I finally bought the V-star 1100 and started riding again. It didn't take long for LiLBit and I to decide that this bike was not big enough for both of us, so this year we got the Goldwing. NICE RIDE!!!!!!

I like to build things out of wood. I like to bowl, shoot pool, ride bikes, talk shit and party.

I was born at South Highland Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama where my Grandmother worked on May the 23, 1953. Growing up was like every normal family I knew. I was happy with my childhood. Then on my 16th Birthday, I talked my father into buying me a mini bike. I loved that little bike and rode it for couple of years up and down the streets of our neighbor hoods. Then I got married and settled down to raise my daughter. As time went by I knew that the person I was with was not for me, I left Alabama and moved to Georgia, where I found my soul mate. That was 24 years ago. I have never regretted my decision to go to another state, because of Buster.

I like riding on the bike and I love to go different places. I have yet to get on the bike and even if we go to the same places we have been, I always find something I missed seeing on the first ride. I got into Pandas, when Mei was born in 2006 and now we have a new little panda, no name yet, but I see him everyday on Panda Cam at the zoo’s website. It just amazes me how something so small can come from something so big. Hobbies riding of course, actually I love to cook, to do crafts of any kind, crochet, I really love to play Slingo on the computer. That’s my father in me, he loved to gamble and so do I.
